In 2018, co-produced by StoryZetu as the fourth edition of ‘Too Early For Birds’, The LAM Sisterhood researched, wrote and starred in the theatre show that uninvisibled the stories of six invisibled women from Kenya’s history: Field Marshall Muthoni wa Kirima, Zarina Patel, Mekatilili wa Menza, Wangu wa Makeri, Chelagat Mutai & the woman who brought down Luanda Magere. This experimental narrative production was everything’d by women and the response was overwhelming. From selling out show sold out five times to sparking a reflection series on The Elephant, from rave reviews and winning several national awards, this stage play was the beginning of the Brazen Universe.
